Cars of the Month 2000
Lee Hunter the newest member of the Asphalt Angels and he was chosen to show case his car in the "Car of the Month".
Lee's story starts back in 1968 when he purchased his first 1965 red corvette. After only two years he traded it in, for something faster. He always regretted getting rid of the corvette and for year's thought about getting another one.
Now thirty years later he finally decided it was time. His wife Marilyn's only request was that it be a convertible (I can't say that I blame her!).
Lee got on the Internet (Ain't Technology Grand!) and was able to find a Classic Corvette Dealership in Ohio. The dealership was able to hook Lee up with the exact car he was looking for. Again, with the help of the Internet Lee was able to find an appraiser who was local to the dealership and could check out the car for him.
After the arrangements were made the dealership delivered the car to Lee in a closed trailer.
Lee and his family were very satisfied when it arrived.
The Corvette only has 70K original miles on it. It has 327 350-horse power. It is a four speed with a posi-traction rear end.
